CLAN RULES 1. GENERAL AI members are to follow the server rules not only in AI servers, but also in other servers as well. If you have an attitude problem, then don't go disturbing people in other servers and bringing their wrath down on the rest of AI. 2. CHEATING AI Members do not cheat or hack. We have a Zero Tolerance policy. If you get caught, you're gone - no exceptions. 3. TAGS When you are in the AI server, you must wear your AI tags and be recognizable by your registered name at all times. If you are scrimming with another clan and you want to take your tags off, feel free to but we'd like it if you wore them all the time. This rule applies to AI recruits as well. Make sure AI recruits are wearing the R in the pub at all times (recruits do not need to wear the R while scrimming or playing matches in the private servers). a. All AI members must play in all AI public servers with the name they use on the forums and on the website. If members or recruits would like to use a different name, they must include a part of their name so we know who they are. Failure to use the correct name will result in removal from AI membership. If members would like to change their name, they must contact a Leader or Co-Leader to have their name changed. 4. DISAGREEMENTS Everyone has disagreements. Not everyone is going to like everyone - it happens. Bitch at each other if you have to, but get over it and move on. If there is a serious problem, bring it up with the leadership of the clan and we'll see what we can do to make everyone happy again. Do your best to keep your personal problems with people out of the public area of the forums. No one wants people interested in AI to see us bitching at each other. If you have a problem with someone, try to resolve it privately first, and if it becomes necessary, take it to the leadership of the clan. Keep in mind that taking jabs at the clan as a whole will NOT be tollerated. Criticism that is not constructive is not allowed. 5. REQUIREMENTS Members of AI are required to play on the server and post in the forums on a weekly basis. If a month passes and you have not posted in the forums and/or played on the server, you will be placed on involuntary leave for 30 days. If at that time you have not made an effort to meet these requirements, you will be removed from AI membership. Members who have circumstances which may require them to be absent a lot, may take a LEAVE. Those who take LEAVE may not be in leadership positions, participate on any teams, or have admin in the server. LEAVE may last for up to 3 months - but no longer. At the end of your 3 months of LEAVE, it is up to you to return to AI. If you do not contact the leadership of the clan to let them know you are back after the 3 months, you will be removed from AI. Members who take a LEAVE may not take another LEAVE until they have been active members for a minimum of 3 months upon return from their previous LEAVE. Those who are on LEAVE are still members of the clan but have none of the benefits that members of the clan do. Any exceptions to the length of your LEAVE will be decided upon by the leaders of this clan. If a recruit is going to be away, they must notify their sponsor. A mic is also required in addition to some time in the Ventrilo server from time to time. Recruits and members should be in the AI Steam Community. Anyone not in the AI Steam Community will not be considered a member of AI. a. Members on LEAVE may not have admin or be in leadership roles. If the member on LEAVE is on LEAVE voluntarily, they may still have access to the members' forums. If the member on LEAVE is on forced LEAVE, they will not have access to the members' forums. b. Members who take a LEAVE may not receive admin (unless they donate) until they have been active in the clan for at least six months from the time they return from LEAVE. Members who had admin prior to taking their leave may receive admin after returning and active participation for three months. 5. MEETINGS AI may have meetings from time to time - ranging from general open clan meetings to meetings of smaller groups of members. These will rarely be required, but will be one of your avenues as a member to affect the direction and makeup of the clan. Meetings will usually be announced in advance, and will occur in the Ventrilo server. If a meeting is an emergency meeting, we will attempt to contact everyone, and let them know about the meeting. 6. SERVER ADMIN & DONATIONS New members have a 6 month waiting period before they'll receive admin privileges on a server. The only exception is for those who donate $ to support the server. If a member donates, they will be given admin (unless they show they can't use admin properly). Recruits and pubbers are encouraged to donate but will NOT receive admin for doing so. No players outside of AI will have admin regardless of circumstances. AI members who donate to the server may receive a clan-ai.com email address if they are interested (talk to alt about this as we will not approach you about it). Those members who are in positions that need an email address, will receive one. 6. BEHAVIOR If you screw up, be prepared to hear about it from the leadership of the clan. Everyone makes mistakes. Just fix it, and move on. Forgive and forget - live and learn - etc, etc. We don't expect anyone to be perfect, but try to keep your ass out of the fire. For those who have admin, if you screw up or act poorly, you'll lose it until it's decided you are responsible enough to have it again. Do not ask to receive admin again. Leadership will determine when it's time to grant admin again. If you screw up again, you will lose admin for 6 months. Do not take criticism and discipline personal. Holding a vendetta against the members of the clan will do you no good and help you quickly find the door. If you can't take criticism, you've come to the wrong place. 7. RECRUITS You may refer anyone to be an AI recruit. There is no set time limit for a recruit to become a member. Everyone who applies for membership in AI must have a sponsor before they may become a recruit. Sponsors must be full, active members of AI and must have been members for a minimum of 3 months (members who take a LEAVE may not sponsor a recruit until they have returned from LEAVE for at least 3 months). Leaders and Co-leaders may sponsor applicants at any time (with approval from the Leaders). Each member may only sponsor one recruit at a time (all exceptions to this must be approved by the Leaders first). When a recruit's sponsor has decided they are ready to be voted on, they will post in the Recruit forum regarding the applicant. After the recruit discussion between AI members, Leaders will decide if the recruit is ready for a vote. The Leaders will then post the vote in the Leaders' Forum. Recruits must pass a 100% YES vote from the Leaders of the clan. Any recruit who does not pass the vote will be notified by their sponsor informing them of the decision. They will have the option to remain as a recruit or may choose to drop from recruit status entirely. 8. TROUBLE-MAKERS If someone becomes a problem for the clan, the Leaders will have a vote for their removal. Leaders must have a 50% vote for them to be removed. If this happens, they will be removed. 9. RESTRICTIONS You may not join another clan for a game which AI supports. However, if you want to join a TS, T2, D2, etc clan, you may - even if they have a CS/TF2/etc division. In other words, if you love clan XYZ and want to be in the Tribes 2 division and they are okay with you being in AI, you may join them even though they have a CS division (please be aware - most clans are not accepting of this. If you are in AI, you are always AI in ANY game we support. This includes CS, CSGG, TF2 or any other game we currently support). 10. INAPPROPRIATE MATERIAL Porn or other totally disgusting material is not allowed in the forums or in any server. This includes (but is not limited to) forum avatars, Steam avatars, game sprays, pictures or videos in forum posts, etc. If you feel the need to provide a link to something hideously disgusting, be sure to provide a VERY good warning first - NSFW. Even if you aren't sure, take procautions. It's better to be overly cautious then not cautious enough. In addition, any in-game spray that is used to imitate other players or objects with the intent to deceive a player is not allowed. 11. ATTITUDES AI is about fun. Do not take offense at things people say or do in the server or on the forums. If you feel offended, take it up with them privately. Chances are they didn't know you were offended and didn't mean to cause any harm. If you take things too seriously, you'll find yourself apologizing and feeling dumb a lot. So have fun and let things go! 13. GRANDFATHER CLAUSE AI members who have been members for at least three years and have donated a lot of time/money/effort, etc to AI may become grandfathered members of AI. These members are not required to meet the regular clan member requirements but will continue to have access to the members' area of the forums. These members will not have leadership roles, involvement on teams or admin in the servers unless they are meeting normal membership requirements. All members who would like to be grandfathered members of AI must request grandfathered status from a Leader and will then be voted on by the Leaders of the clan. Any exceptions to the time limit will be decided on a case by case basis and voted on by all Leaders. Exceptions to these rules will only be made by decision of the Leaders of this clan. 14.
