NS2 Alpha
Well, didn't get a chance to try last night with the new patch, but previously was having the connection issues all over the NS forum - just hanging
when trying to connect to any server and having to relaunch NS2 to try other servers. Some were saying they could get connected after 5-10 minutes,
others never connected.
I did manage to connect to one server for about 5 minutes two nights ago, but player list was wrong, said it had 5 other players but I was the only
one on the server. Then I crashed just running around biting things as a skulk. Of course not expecting alpha to be real stable, but just wish it
were easier to get into a server to do some testing/playing.

I actually think that you might not have been alone Kronos. I had the same issue when connecting to the server on Monday. I got in and it said there
were like 6 people in there. But when I finally figured out how to join a team, it said I was alone. But then I saw other people playing and I saw
them typing.... so they were there. After that, they'd randomly show up on the score screen.
I did manage to kill a few marines as a skulk and some with hydras, but the problem is, it's SOOOOO laggy because it's in alpha and they haven't
optimized it yet. So really, very hard to play a skulk.

Oh - and the alpha is supposed to fix the connection issues (and a dozen other problems). I follow them on facebook where they have tons of good info.
I suggest you do too.
FYI, my friend tried to play after last nights update, and he was able to join a server and play.

So for those that have tried it, is there a lot different from the first game? I downloaded it and tried to join a game but it never connected then I
got sent to Indiana.

Most major difference so far, alien commander... but since I've not been able to really play, don't know practically how it works.

I found that playing a skulk was easier (although the lag made it harder). I don't know if it's because I've played some much l4d2..... but it
definitely didn't seem incredibly hard like the first one. So far, I like the direction the game is going... although Alien Commander is weird. :/

Hopefully I'll get some more time to playtest now that I'm back from vacation, having PC issues though where my PC is just randomly not responding
for 5-10 minutes at times. I'm thinking it's power related, or maybe just hoping, since motherboard problems are icky
